The retail and restaurant industry has been an important focus of our firm’s practice for over 30 years, from claims involving premises defects and negligent operations, to a wide spectrum of labor and employment matters. As evidence of our commitment to this industry, Galloway serves on the Charter Board of Directors of the NRRDA (www.nrrda.org), an organization formed to advance and protect the interests of the retail and restaurant industries by developing strategies to reduce the number and severity of claims, manage common risks, and enhance our defense position in litigated matters.
We also proactively seek ways to add value to our client relationships for the industries and clients we represent. This includes presenting educational seminars as part of employee training programs, at industry conferences, and for insurance carriers and their insureds, and by publishing articles and risk management guidelines. Important topics for our clients have included litigation trends, insurance coverage, indemnity, implementing and maintaining a culture of safety, incident investigation, substantive areas of law, risk management, mock trials, trial practice, depositions, government regulations, and industry standards.
