Alexis joined the firm after earning her J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law. Though Alexis’ practice covers several areas of law, her primary practice is in general civil defense litigation, employer liability, toxic tort defense, and Jones Act litigation.

Having spent time studying consumer law in Beijing, China and working for a marketing company in London, Alexis brings to her practice a unique understanding of the complex issues that are inherent in law and business in today’s global market. Alexis assists in representing international drilling companies, oilfield service providers, pipeline transportation and energy storage companies, regional oil and gas exploration firms, one of the world’s largest platform and rig companies, geophysical exploration companies, as well as their underwriters and other insurance companies. She has been involved in traditional litigation as well as arbitration proceedings involving death claims, personal injury lawsuits, and property losses, and has assisted in reviewing and rendering legal opinions on drilling contracts, indemnity contracts, insurance policies, and other commercial documents, including employer Dispute Resolution Programs. Most recently, Alexis co-authored two successful Motions for Summary Judgment in separate benzene exposure claims, one of which resulted in the client’s full dismissal from the litigation, while the other effectively struck the plaintiff’s claim for punitive damages.

Alexis is a board member of Texas Advocacy Project, 2017, a non-profit law firm working directly with domestic violence victims, shelters, law enforcement agencies, and courts across Texas to deliver effective legal services to Texans in need.
