Kevin Lawrence Cole passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at the young age of 56. He was the beloved husband of 23 years to Rebecca Nastasi Cole, and loving father of Kevin Michael Cole, Cheryl Cole, Kristin McAnelly and Alyson Cole Grifka.

As a young boy Kevin moved from Austin, Texas to Baton Rouge, Louisiana and made Mandeville his home for the past 33 years. Kevin received his Juris Doctorate in 1978 from Louisiana State University School of Law and was devoted to his legal career. In 2004, Kevin became a shareholder with the law firm of Galloway, Johnson, Tompkins, Burr & Smith and founded its Mandeville Office. Kevin was an active member of the National Association of Professional Surplus Line Offices (NAPSLO) and American Association of Managing General Agents (AAMGA). He was a former Board member and former President of the New Orleans Chapter of the Professional Insurance Agents (“PIA”) and a former Board Member and former President of the North Shore Chapter of the PIA. He was the former President of the “1752 Club”, a former President of the New Orleans Casualty and Surety Association, a former President of the New Orleans Claims Association, a former member of the Louisiana Department of Insurance Surplus Lines Advisory Council, a former member of the Louisiana Association of Business & Industry Civil Justice Reform Council (formerly the Liability Task Force), and member of the Legislative Committees of NAPSLO and AAMGA; Kevin was also a member of the Risk Insurance Management Society (RIMS), the Louisiana Surplus Lines Association (LSLA) and the Texas Surplus Line Association (TSLA).

Kevin was an incredible attorney and friend. He was genuine, compassionate, wonderfully supportive, generous and an inspiration to all who knew him.
