As a pilot, Mark learned that losing sight of the other aircraft during an air combat engagement is generally fatal. In the practice of law, he follows a similar rule – keep your eye on the client’s objective. With very few exceptions, that objective is to resolve the claim as quickly and economically as possible. Press the opposition, and control the pace of the fight, but realize when it is smarter to disengage (settle the case).

With a degree in personnel management from Louisiana State University, and an ROTC commission in the United States Air Force, Mark spent more than twelve years flying F-4 Phantom and F-15 Eagle fighter aircraft. While flying with the Louisiana Air National Guard, he attended Tulane University Law School, graduating in 1985.

Most of Mark’s practice has been in the areas of products liability, premises and professional liability, as well as insurance coverage defense. While practicing aviation casualty litigation for many years, Mark represented owners, operators and manufacturers of general aviation aircraft, including Piper, Beech, and Cessna. In more recent years, he has concentrated his practice in construction litigation and insurance defense.

Admitted to practice in all courts in Louisiana, both state and federal, Mark is a current or past member of the American Bar Association, Louisiana State Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, and the Aviation Insurance Association.
