Michael is a Pensacola native. His passion for the law began in undergrad at the University of West Florida where he served as President/Captain of the Mock Trial team for two years. Michael continued to pursue a specialization in litigation and competed in trial and appellate competitions while attending the University of Alabama Law School. He was a member of the Moot Court Board, the Intellectual Property Moot Court team, and was the Managing Editor for The Journal of the Legal Profession, Volume 40-41.

Michael began his career practicing at an insurance defense firm in Birmingham, Alabama. After a year of practice, he returned home to Pensacola to continue his career and establish himself in the community. Michael has represented insurance companies in the states of Florida and Alabama. Prior to joining Galloway, he primarily practiced insurance defense litigation. Michael’s routine areas of practice include insurance coverage, insurance defense litigation, personal injury, labor and employment, premises liability, and first-party property matters. He recently successfully argued a Motion for Summary Judgment in a personal injury case arising from injuries sustained in an automobile accident from hitting a cow in the road. Michael represented the owners of the cow and summary judgment was granted pursuant to Ala. Code Sec. 3-5-3(a). See Robert Brewer and Mary Pauline Brewer v. Joshua Atkinson, William J.
